After over a decade in a finance and accounting careers with large corporates in Canada, Robert has spent the past 25 years in Asia in very senior Finance and Executive roles. Having served as Chief Financial Officer for Publicly Traded and Private Equity backed companies for over 2 decades, he has accumulated Senior Level Finance experience across diverse industries, including manufacturing, technology, financial services and resources, supporting various companies in the Asia Pacific region.
Robert has played key roles as a member of senior Leadership Teams, Boards of Directors, and Audit Committees. In these capacities, he has overseen global accounting, finance, audit, tax, treasury, FP&A, banking, M&A, risk management, HR, and IT. Robert has been instrumental in improving financial reporting standards, growing companies through M&A, optimizing capital structures through global debt and equity financing, and transformed operations through new ERP implementations, data analysis and building world class teams.
His variety of M&A initiatives and activities have included portfolio review, financial due diligence, modelling, and post-acquisition integration. Notably, he played a key role in the exit of a Private Equity backed company, where the participating firm achieved 8x their investment. He has earned the designations of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Certified General Accountant (CGA) in Canada.
